The series

Grave Robbers

An adult dark fantasy saga of imprisoned gods, dangerous magic, complicated families, morally gray choices, and the people responsible for keeping the world from coming apart.

What is Grave Robbers?

Containment is a profession until it becomes a war.

Grave Robbers is an adult dark fantasy series set across the Twelve Kingdoms, where gods are contained inside enchanted coffins and rare witches and elves known as Reapers are responsible for keeping those coffins stable.

The work is older than most governments and considerably less forgiving. Coffins fail. Runes decay. Wards fracture. Gods wake. Reapers disappear. Institutions built to protect the world begin deciding that controlling the people who maintain it is easier than trusting them.

At the center of the series are people bound together by marriage, magic, survival, instinct, duty, and choice. Some bonds shelter. Some consume. Some were never meant to exist at all.

Inside the series

What waits beneath the lid

Divine containment

Coffins

Ancient containers hold gods, power, and purpose. They require structure, maintenance, and people willing to stand close when something goes wrong.

The keepers

Reapers

Rare witches and elves hear the dead places of the world, answer damaged coffins, and work under rules most people notice only after those rules fail.

Shapeshifters

Alphas

Powerful male shapeshifters from six great cat lines, living within a society shaped by rank, instinct, restraint, and consent.

Old language

Bonds

Romantic, magical, familial, dangerous, chosen. In the Twelve Kingdoms, a bond can be shelter, obligation, hunger, recognition, or a door that should have remained closed.

Infrastructure

M.A.P.

Engineers, inspectors, contracts, grants, warrants, maintenance authority, and the quiet machinery that changes kingdoms without ever needing a throne.

Magical structure

Runemasters

Architects of marks, lattices, pressure, metal, stone, law, and consequence: builders of what magic is allowed to do.
